Black Swamp Safety Council
In
addition to traditional occupational safety and
health courses, BWC's Division of Safety & Hygiene (DSH) offers
a variety of specialty courses to meet the unique
needs of Ohio's workforce, including:
Attendance at a DSH course qualifies for one
safety council discount program external training
credit with submission of a certificate of
completion to your safety council.
These courses are offered at no additional cost to
Ohio employers. Follow the instructions on the
attached flyers to register today!

Annually, the Division
of Safety & Hygiene publishes the Safety Leader's
Discussion Guide. The monthly articles are written
in a style that encourages participation and
interaction and includes lists of additional
resources. For the first time this year, DSH
accepted submissions from the public and staff to
create the guide.
Monthly 2009 Discussion Guide topics include: job
safety analysis, computer workstation ergonomics
training, traffic control/flaggers, hand tool
safety, safety on the road, preventing cuts and
lacerations, combustible dust in the workplace,
crisis plans for schools, asbestos awareness,
protecting older workers, and safety management
systems.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to assist businesses within
the five-county area in a cooperative effort to reduce injuries
and illnesses. The council will provide up-to-date and practical safety-related
training and information, and will be a forum for members to network
and share ideas. We will strive to be a visible and valuable resource to the safety
committee and the society at-large.
Who are Members of the Safety Council?
Businesses of all sizes, cities, schools, healthcare facilities,
etc. representing people like yourself who are responsible for the
health and safety of their employees.
